Welcome to Roanoke Island Outdoors. Home to both Beechland Campground in Manteo and The Refuge on Roanoke Island in Wanchese. Both campgrounds are located on the Roanoke Island just minutes from Nags Head, North Carolina. Beechland campground brings you within biking or walking distance to the shopping, restaurants and community activities of Downtown Manteo. Enjoy our quaint town during the day and relax to peaceful marsh sunsets over the Croatan Sound in the evening. The Refuge offers a different camping experience in the fishing village of Wanchese, where you can enjoy catch and release fishing from behind your RV on our pond overlooking the Roanoke Sound.

Both locations make tremendous launching pads for your Outer Banks adventure. Close enough to enjoy a day trip North to see the wild ponies of Corolla or a trip down South to experience the world renowned fishing fleet of Oregon Inlet.
